Citizen science in the AMULET project: Join the Open Science discussion via the deliberative platform eDemOS

In your own words — tell us what you think about the Czech implementation of Open Science!

On Friday, 12 September 2025, a public hearing on Open Science will take place as part of the OP JAK AMULET project. Open Science has become a key pillar of European research policy, and this hearing will be one of the highlights of the national discussion on its implementation. One of the accompanying activities is a survey exploring public attitudes toward the implementation of Open Science principles in the Czech Republic.

As part of this study, you can participate in three different ways: Discussion Forum – share your thoughts on Open Science in your own words; Proposal Voting – vote on ideas for improving the implementation of Open Science principles; Imagine OS – a card-based method for reflecting on Open Science.

The deliberative platform eDemOS is part of a research activity within the project Advanced Multiscale Materials for Key Enabling Technologies (AMULET) (OP JAK MEYS, reg. no. CZ.02.01.01/00/22_008/0004558), coordinated by the J. Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry of the CAS. The person responsible for this activity is Mgr. Michal Trčka, Ph.D., who can be contacted at: michal.trcka@jh-inst.cas.cz

Anyone aged 18 and over is welcome to take part. There is no time limit for participation, and you may try one or more modules. The survey is fully anonymous; all responses will be used for research purposes only. Results will be published in aggregate form through statistical and qualitative analysis, in academic publications and policy briefs.

The event is held under the auspices of the Scientific Council of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the President of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
